Data we process on behalf of clients

Our work involves bringing a client's own business data into a data warehouse that we build and manage for them. This can include advertising, sales, e-commerce and web analytics data drawn from the third-party platforms the client already uses, such as Google Ads, Meta, Shopify and Google Analytics.

We access this data only:

• with the client's explicit authorisation;
• on a read-only basis — we retrieve reporting data, and we do not create, change or manage anything in the client's source accounts;
• for the sole purpose of providing analytics and reporting back to that same client.

We do not sell client data, and we do not share it with third parties except as required to deliver the service to that client or where required by law.

Data accessed through the Google Ads API

Where we access a client's Google Ads reporting data through the Google Ads API, that data is used solely to provide reporting and analytics to the client whose account it belongs to. It is not used for any other purpose, is not sold or shared with third parties, and is handled in accordance with the Google Ads API Terms of Service and applicable Google policies.

Storage and security

Client data is held in access-controlled data warehouses. Access is scoped to the specific engagement and limited to authorised Damson Data personnel. We apply the security measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the data we hold.

Retention and deletion

We retain client data for the duration of our engagement with that client. We will delete it on request, or at the end of the engagement, subject to any legal retention obligations.

Information collected from this website

This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies and does not track visitors. If you email us, we use your message and contact details only to respond to you. Our hosting provider may process standard technical server logs (such as IP addresses) for the purpose of operating and securing the site.

Your rights

If you are an individual whose personal data we hold, you may have rights under UK data protection law, including the right to access, correct or request deletion of your data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at anthony@damsondata.com.
